This beautiful cocktail is perfect for a Spring lunch or sundowner in the warm end-of-day sunshine. It is perfectly paired with a lovely fresh seasonal salad as it is so fresh, not too sweet, and easy to drink.
Tokara wines are a product of South Africa’s picturesque Cape Winelands and this crisp sauvignon blanc should be your designated warm-weather drink.
We have made this “wine trail” with a tangy and sweet cherry and pomegranate juice sparkling water. The pink edible flower ice disks are a must-do for any spring celebration. Stunning served in a cocktail or to fill your ice bucket.
Ingredients:
For the ice disks:
- 400ml cherry and pomegranate juice
- 1 Small handful of edible flowers
- 1 muffin tray
For the cocktail:
- ½ bottle Tokara Sauvignon Blanc
- 300ml cherry and pomegranate juice
- 250ml sparkling water
Method:
- For the ice disks: Divide the juice between 6 muffin tins, you just want to fill them to about ¼ full. Then add in the flowers and stir. Place the tray into the freezer and allow to set completely.
For the cocktails:
- In a large jug or in 6 glasses, mix the wine, juice, and sparkling water. Gently stir to mix and then add in the edible flower ice disks.
- Serve immediately otherwise it will lose its fizz.
Enjoy!
