It’s that time of the year again when we dress up in all things dark and spooky and make creepy treats. We used the Kraken dark rum to make these truffles which are really quite delicious and give a little kick. The Oreo wings are so yum you will be biting them off first, the after-dinner treat or a trick-or-treat snack for any parents accompanying their kids around the neighborhood. Here’s how to make them.
Ingredients:
- 100ml cream
- 25g salted butter
- 300g dark chocolate
- 50ml Kraken dark rum
- 120g milk chocolate
- Oreos
- Edible eyeballs
Method:
- Heat up the cream and butter then turn off the heat and add in all the dark chocolate. Allow it to sit and melt then stir to combine. Add in the rum and give it nice swirl.
- Allow this to cool until solid. Then melt the dark chocolate and cut the Oreo half and divide them into single wings.
- Use a TBS to measure each ball and roll it into a ball then dip in the dark chocolate, place on a plate and push an oreo wing in either side and stick the eyes on while still soft
- Allow to set and enjoy
