Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup tequila
- 2 TBS Cointreau
- 2 TBS Passion Fruit pulp
- 1/4 cup passionfruit juice
- 1/2 lime squeezed
- 2 tbs salt flakes, crushed
- 1 tsp chilli flakes
Method:
- Combine tequila, Cointreau, Passion Fruit pulp, passion fruit juice and lime juice in a cocktail shaker.
- Add ice and shake.
- Rub the lime wedge along the rim of the glass and dip into the salt and chilli flakes.
- Pour into 2 glasses and enjoy.
Passionfruit or granadilla is one of our favourite flavours and this awesome fruit comes into season twice a year – with a big crop between November and January. So, it really is the flavour of summer. Granadilla and Tequila are a match made in heaven and the Cointrea orange liquer just works so well together.
I prefer margaritas shaken and not frozen. But you can always pop this in a blender with a lot of ice and make then Frozen.
