Shots are fun and actually a rather easy Christmas gift, and no, your family will not think you are tacky if you put a little thought into it.
So here’s how you do it.
- Check out Market Liquor’s latest Christmas specials.
- Think about that special someone; what do they like?
- Go to your nearest Market Liquors and buy the drink.
- Add some love.
Here are some ideas to get you started:
- Brandy
We all know brandy is good neat or with Coke. But to make it special, why not attach a handwritten recipe around the neck of the bottle? We suggest that the simpler the shot recipe, the more likely your loved one will make it, like Snowball Shooters.
- Jägerbombs
This party classic can be classy. But how do you spruce up canned drinks? (FYI, Red Bulls are currently on special at FreshStop). Imagine a beautiful, strong brown paper bag with a lovely note written in black and the bag’s handles tied together with a ribbon. Sounds nice.
- Santa’s Bag of Tricks
Some classics don’t need much help; their colours make them special without much effort. Suppose your loved one is a shots fan. Why not get them a bag of tricks like Four Cousins Marula or Strawberry Cream Liqueur, Coco Rico Salted Caramel & Coconut Cream Liqueur or South African classics – Koeksister or Malva Pudding Liqueur?
- Gin
Ever popular gin is always a hit, and what makes gin even better is its shot simplicity. A little lime juice, sugar and gin in a shot glass goes a long way, and it’s low-carb! When it comes to packaging, many gins have attractive bottles, so you can get away with a little tag around the bottle’s neck.
- Tequila
Tequila paired with orange juice is tasty and somewhat healthy – it has orange juice, after all. Like its friend gin, most tequilas come in stunning bottles that just need a little bow around the neck to make them unique.
Or you can just buy a bunch of booze and check out our recipes and have yourself a (hic) jolly Christmas (hic).
All the drinks mentioned above are on special at Market Liquors this December. Hurry before stocks run out.
Have a Merry Christmas (and drink responsibly).
Alcohol is not for sale to persons under the age of 18. Drink responsibly.
