Pickle Margarita with Olmeca Tequila
Ingredients:
- 2 shot Olmeca Tequila (or your preferred Olmeca variant)
- 2 shot pickle juice (from your favourite jar of dill or kosher pickles)
- 1 shot fresh lime juice
- 1/2 shot agave syrup (or simple syrup), optional for sweetness.
- 1 shot orange liqueur (such as Cointreau or Triple Sec), optional.
- Ice
- Salt and chili flakes for rimming the glass
- 1 pickle spear or slice (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Glass:
- Start by preparing your glass with a salt and chili flakes rim. To do this, rub a lime wedge around the rim of your glass, then dip it into a mix of salt and chili flakes.
- Mix the Margarita:
- In a cocktail shaker, combine:
- 1 shot of Olmeca tequila
- 1 shot of pickle juice
- 1/2 shot of fresh lime juice
- 1/4 shot of agave syrup (if you prefer a touch of sweetness)
- 1/2 shot of orange liqueur
- Add ice to the shaker, and shake for about 15-20 seconds to chill the ingredients.
- Strain and Serve:
- Strain the margarita into your prepared glass filled with fresh ice.
- Garnish:
- Garnish with a pickle spear or a pickle slice on the rim of the glass.
